About Ben
Ben has had a lifelong passion for movement, exploring many sports and movement practises along the way.
Building on his existing experience and qualifications, Ben took the opportunity during the pandemic to return to his studies and expand his knowledge to help others realise their potential.
Ben found that the best approach to a healthy body is to really understand it. It inspired him to progress from his PT qualification, studying mobility and functional movement with senior teachers Dr. Andreo A. Spina & Dewey Nielson, gaining his accreditation as a Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist (FRCms).
To deepen his understanding of how our bodies move, Ben extended his studies into human biomechanics completing a course by Danish human biomechanics specialist Mads Tömörkènyi. Combined with the study of our fascial and myofascial ‘anatomy of connection’ through Tom Myers Anatomy Trains system, Ben is well versed in training the body as an integrated system to improve health, posture and performance.
Ben’s own journey rehabilitating three sports related surgeries is integral to how sessions are constructed, with the mission of creating a resilient and functional body to reduce the risk of injury and build a strong foundation for movement longevity.
Ben’s passion for health and movement extends beyond his professional work and follows him to the countryside, mountains and rivers where you’ll find him cycling, hiking, climbing and paddle boarding in his spare time.
Part of Ben’s mission is to try and find movement practices and exercise that you will enjoy to get the most out of your fitness journey.
